Does quantity mean quality?
Many companies boast of hosting XXXXXX servers etc. Is this really a sign of quality?
Of course, we do not hide the amount that shows that a company is well established; there is some stability in the company. In other words, it will not close overnight 🙂 Also, he who says quantity, also says the best price (usually ..)!
Nonetheless, as a customer, is it important that shopping for a web host be based on price alone?
If only the price is taken into account, there is a problem … For a “personal” site where uptime, support, and stability does not matter, there is no harm in watching the price only! On the contrary, you should think twice!
What you should be looking for is the quality/price ratio
Consider the following situation. You have a hosting plan whose price is very “low cost”. You have everything installed and everything works (despite some delays ..). The site is not very fast, but it works … However, on a Sunday at 7 pm, your website is no longer functional. You then contact the host in question. You do not receive an answer until Monday morning saying “we will look at this for you.” The host in question does not have 24/7 support, and competence is a bit lacking. Your site is offline and remains offline for several hours or even days! The fact that the site is offline represents a significant loss for both in terms of SEO and turnover! The fact that your site is inaccessible is immense.
The question to ask: a few euros of savings were they worth it?
