Projects Supported by PlanetHoster’s Customers
The projects we launch to help communities, such as the collaboration with non-profit organizations, are ultimately supported by our customers, not by PlanetHoster. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of this fact. That is why we would like to reiterate our gratitude to our customers.
Camp Info-Découverte at CFP des Riverains
The Centre de formation professionnelle des Riverains offers a range of study programs, including IT support. This vocational training center is a fully-fledged non-profit organization administered by teachers qualified in computer science.
PlanetHoster donates equipment and even provides teaching services to encourage the CFP des Riverains.
For example, for the start of the 2024 school year, PlanetHoster took part in the Camp info-découverte (info-discovery camp) which took place at the CFP. We had the chance to lead an SEO workshop with some really talented young people; it was an enriching experience for everyone.
We are proud to support these future professionals from a generation passionate about the Web and technology. This encourages us in 2025 to continue this collaboration with an institution as innovative as the CFP des Riverains.
APTE Project (France)
Preconceived ideas about ASD (autism spectrum disorder) are sometimes hard to shake. At PlanetHoster, we believe that what some might consider a disability can become a strength if you know how to make the most of it. It is in this spirit that we enthusiastically collaborate on the VISA project, which is led by APTE Autisme.
The aim of this project is to design a digital tool specifically for people with ASD in their search for current and future types of activities or skilled trades. The tool will also help them with guidance, as it will take into account their specific interests.
On March 18 2025, PlanetHoster agreed to host the website of the VISA project free of charge for a period of one year. In addition to hosting, this agreement includes server administration and maintenance, as well as technical assistance.
PlanetHoster thus demonstrates once again that human well-being remains a key aspect in the choice of our sponsorship initiatives.
Collaboration with Beslogic on the Releaf Project
Always in favor of the environment, PlanetHoster enthusiastically supports the philanthropic project Releaf by Beslogic.
This project consists of designing a platform to support reforestation. This application will offer nurseries the opportunity to grow, plant and monitor trees in an efficient and transparent manner.
The application will also make it possible to distribute boxes of 25 trees to citizens who wish to contribute to these efforts by growing the trees at home. These boxes will be equipped with technology that monitors the conditions in which the trees grow and provides real-time alerts as needed.

Sholarships For Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne
Always keen to give back to the community and promote innovation, the directors of PlanetHoster decided in 2024 to establish a partnership with the Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne for the continuing education of students in the Social Media Strategies and Management program.
This agreement includes a scholarship program over a three-year period. In fact, we recently awarded two scholarships to the College’s Foundation.
The agreement also led to the creation of the PlanetHoster Innovation Laboratory within the College’s Digital Agora. This space is dedicated to innovation and the development of advanced digital skills, which will enable the student community to benefit from mentoring and coaching activities offered by our experts.
Moreover, the agreement includes access to PlanetHoster’s latest technological innovations, in particular the N0C platform.

Latest Technological Advances
In 2025, some projects that are currently underway or that we will be initiating will contribute enormously to the already unique character of PlanetHoster’s tools. In the case of N0C in particular, users will find that the platform will be very different from what they have known until now.

Cyberimpact
On January 27, Cyberimpact — a Canadian platform specializing in email marketing — signed an agreement with PlanetHoster to benefit from our cyberdefense offer.
In the current context of increasingly widespread denial of service (DDoS) attacks, this decision by the management of Cyberimpact is timely. In addition to providing real-time protection against DDoS attacks on layers 3 and 4 of Internet networks with a capacity of up to several TBps, PlanetHoster’s cyberdefense offering provides automatic threat mitigation and continuous network monitoring.

Deployment of PostgreSQL in N0C in Progress
We have started to roll out PostgreSQL v16 on The World NOC shared hosting and HybridCloud NOC dedicated servers. This will allow you to benefit from the latest improvements in terms of performance, security and database management.
In this regard, we refer you to the article in our knowledge base entitled How to manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
PHP 8.4 Available
Version 8.4 of the PHP language has recently been added to the PHP versions available on N0C:
It is always possible to modify the PHP version of an account. The procedure to follow is explained in the article How to use the PHP Interface.
CentOS 7 Update Finalized
CentOS Linux is a Linux operating system developed as open source, which can be used on hosting servers.
Thanks to the excellent work of our team, the update to version 8 on our hosting servers is complete.
Migration from the Legacy cPanel Plan to N0C
As we have mentioned in previous blogs, we encourage our customers to migrate from cPanel to N0C free of charge. The fact that cPanel is at the end of its life justifies this recommendation.
Currently, there are still between 1 and 2 % of customers on the servers in Canada and France who have not yet migrated.
Increase in Network Capacities for Our Cyberdefense Offering
The PlanetHoster Internet network is connected to several networks, including Cogent.
We have recently signed agreements aimed at increasing the capacity of the PlanetHoster network. The agreement aims to add several 100G ports in Paris and Montreal to increase mitigation capacity. This will offer more capacity to our cyberdefense client. This will also be extended to the various internet exchange points and other Tier 1 transit providers.

NDDCamp
PlanetHoster supports NDDCamp, a series of conferences and workshops dedicated to the major topics of domain names. In fact, these initiatives reflect our dedication not only to domain name registration, but also to contributing to the information and communication technology community.

Confoo 2025
ConFoo is a multi-technology conference for developers. Popular international speakers give presentations focused on pragmatic solutions.
Several members of our development team were able to benefit from this at the edition of 2025, from February 26 to 28. They came back with knowledge that will be very useful to them.
RDV e-Commerce Conference
On October 22, 2024, at the ITHQ in Montreal, we were pleased to support the conference at the RDV e-commerce.
It was a valuable opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge and make their online business more secure.
On 18 March 2025, we sent a PlanetHoster ambassador. We also supported the conference financially.

Growth Island

Francization Program With the OQLF
The preservation of our French-speaking culture is also one of our values. Knowing that the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) (Quebec French language office) has specific expectations that companies must comply with, we have decided to quickly set in motion a francization program. In fact, our goal remains to obtain the OQLF francization certificate.
After registering with the Office in February 2024 in accordance with the Charter of the French Language, we submitted an analysis of our linguistic situation. In September 2024, a francization advisor visited us so that we could review our good linguistic practices with her. As soon as she sent us some observations, we set about correcting the main ones.
Among other things, it was deemed appropriate to change our parking signs, giving them a somewhat humorous touch. Here is the concept:
We have just submitted our francization program to complete the remaining corrective actions arising from the observations regarding signage. In fact, the Office requires that the French language predominate on it. If everything goes as planned, we hope to obtain the francization certificate this year.
New Goodies
As we know, companies usually offer gifts during certain events, such as conferences.
Always keen to stand out in the market, PlanetHoster is investing this year in a rather unusual product, but one that offers the advantage of being particularly useful: a pen with 6-in-1 multifunction tools. This ballpoint pen will be equipped with the following accessories:

How to Install Strapi 5 With the Left-Hand Panel
By definition, a headless CMS like Strapi offers developers the advantage of separating the back-end from the front-end. Strapi 5 allows content (back-end) to be managed in Node.js via an administrator interface. Strapi 5 also allows you to generate an API that meets the user’s needs. It is then up to the user to use the API to link a front-end framework of their choice.
The MG panel allows you to configure Strapi 5. The step-by-step procedure is detailed in the article How to install Strapi 5 and is as follows:
- Install the Strapi back-end application on a subdomain.
- Create your Node.js application.
- Create a database and a user with full privileges.
- Import your project into the node directory.
- Finish the configuration.
How to Create an Out-of-Office Message in Roundcube
Roundcube does not have a specific function that allows you to automatically reply to all emails sent to you with an out-of-office message. You have to use filters to achieve this.

How to Extract a PHP Error Report with the MG Panel
In certain circumstances, it may be useful to view the php error_log report. The article How to see the php error_log has been written to help you do this.
How to See Apache’s Mistakes with the MG Panel
It is impossible to extract an Apache error report (Apache error_log) as you can do directly with PHP. However, you can see all the errors, including the errors that would be part of the Apache error_log, by using the access log.
