Migrations From Another Provider

To speed up the migration of new customers, we have made it a habit to provide them with a quote as soon as possible. In addition, we always offer newcomers to the field the option of paying for an hour with a Level 1 technical advisor for support.

Migration Of Legacy Infrastructure

We are encouraging our customers more than ever to migrate from cPanel to N0C. The end of life of cPanel justifies this recommendation, not to mention our goal of improving the security and modernity of installations for customers.

• Since September 1, the following measures have been taken for HybridCloud cPanel:
• For customers who choose not to migrate to N0C, an extended lifecycle fee is added to their dedicated server.

Our offer of free migration to a HybridCloud N0C with no time limit is now only valid for our customers choosing the annual cycle. Otherwise, a fee of €400 (approximately $600 CAD) per migrated HybridCloud cPanel server will be charged.

We are pleased to announce that, at present, there are very few customers on servers in Canada and France who have not yet migrated from cPanel to N0C.

Reactivation Of Domains Included For Certain TLDs

As of September 1, 2025, .com, .net, and .org extensions are no longer included free of charge with our web hosting plans.

However, new extensions are included instead. For any annual or longer subscription, customers benefit from a domain name with the following extensions at no additional cost: .be, .ca, .ch, .de, .es, .eu, .fr, .pm, .re, .tf, .wf, and .yt.

Purchasing Expired Domain Names

Buying an expired domain name offers many advantages due to its history. You can benefit from its natural search engine optimization, which has already been identified by search engines. You can also take advantage of its traffic, backlinks, and Google ranking.

Geographic Expansion and Infrastructure

Energy Performance And Eco-Responsible Commitment

“When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it,” as the famous scientist Kelvin (1824-1907) rightly said.

When it comes to data centers and infrastructure — particularly in those days of exponential energy growth linked to artificial intelligence — two key indicators reflect energy performance and eco-responsible commitment. These are:

• the WUE (Water Usage Effectiveness); and
• the PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).

In the case of PlanetHoster, these indicators demonstrate the extent to which our environmental values have borne fruit. Thus, in 2024:

• A WUE of 0.95 indicated very efficient water use.
• The average PUE of 1.20 was remarkable, given the high N+N availability (total redondancy):
  • dual independent power supply infrastructure (feed A and B), UPS batteries, and generators to ensure 99.99% availability;
  • dual network infrastructure operating simultaneously to avoid any service interruption.

We would add the following observations:

• Total electricity consumption, estimated at 2 megawatts, represents half to one-third of the consumption of our competitors using a similar load.
• The introduction of N0C has enabled a 30% saving in electricity consumption compared to other solutions on the market.
• Finally, our commitment to using 100% green renewable energy from hydroelectricity (hydraulics) is a decisive factor, at a time when the survival of humanity depends on drastic measures in the field of energy.

Community Projects Supported By PlanetHoster Customers

PlanetHoster Partners With Atypikoo For The #JAMAISTROP Awareness Campaign

The message of the #JAMAISTROP campaign in Europe¹ generated a lot of buzz on social media, even though the overall goal was not achieved. Under these circumstances, a more agile but equally strategic Plan B was devised: launch the #JAMAISTROP campaign in Quebec City. “La vieille capitale” — as it is also known in Canada — was chosen because:

• There is already a community in this region, with real development potential for Atypikoo.
• The media impact will be much stronger: a French startup launching a poster campaign in Canada will attract interest. Atypicoo is already in contact with several journalists who would be delighted to report on this initiative.
• This campaign in Quebec City will also be an opportunity to continue promoting the partnership between Atypikoo and PlanetHoster. Our support as a hosting provider will be highlighted.

An initial teleconference between PlanetHoster, David Boudjenah (creator of the Atypikoo platform), and Kim Auclair (web communications consultant) laid the foundations for this project.

New Technological Advances

Our recent projects greatly enhance the already unique nature of PlanetHoster’s tools. In the case of N0C in particular, users are noticing as it evolves that the platform is becoming very different from what they have known until now.

Moodle Deployment

The Moodle learning management system is now available in the MG panel. It can now be installed in the same way as other N0C CMSs.

Statistics About Snapshots of Incidents

A tool for viewing statistics on various incidents that may have occurred on a given account has been developed in N0C.

Such incidents can include CPU resources exceeding the allowed limit and I/O errors, among other things.

WHMCS

Our customers who use WHMCS as their reseller and domain management system know that we provide an extension module that allows them to connect their billing system directly to PlanetHoster.

N0C Storage Billing

We thought it would be a good idea to include a reminder here about how N0C Storage billing works:

• 1 GB = €0.04/month.
• If a customer has a The World, they receive 100 GB.
• If a customer has an active HC N0C, they receive 200 GB per active HC N0C.
• During the month, bucket consumption is synchronized randomly, and the maximum value reached is retained.
• When the invoice is paid, consumption (in GB) is reset to 0.

If a customer has a The World with 25 accounts, the total storage consumption is 236 GB during the month.

The World includes 100 GB.

Tool For Splitting An Account Into Multiple Sub-Accounts

We currently have a tool in beta testing that divides accounts into multiple N0C sub-accounts. These tests show that the tool works well, so we expect to be able to deploy it into production shortly.

Francization Program With The Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF)

Since June 1, 2025, the Quebec government has had specific expectations that businesses must legally comply with regarding the use of French in the workplace.

As part of our francization program with the OQLF, the auditor has submitted her recommendation for our company’s certification. We are awaiting official certification from the OQLF.

Upgrade To PlanetHoster Version 2

Our development team is currently working on a brand new interface for shopping carts. The design of this overhaul will be in line with the V2 standard. We will also take this opportunity to improve the presentation of our promotions, so that users can see them easily and in real time.
